The Problem of People Power “Revolutions”

The Problem of People Power “Revolutions”

The Philippines is in the middle of what potentially could be another upheaval. As to whether his upheaval will restore sanity or deepen it, remains to be seen.

Ironically, Noynoy Aquino may be facing the same situation that his mother heaped on Apo Ferdie Marcos. The thought probably speaks of sweet payback to a whole lot of people.

BUT, the question remains – after the “people power” has succeeded, and the incumbents are removed – how has life turned out for the participants in “social revolution” re-branded?

By the looks of it:

* Egypt is still under a tyranny

* Libya is still under a tyranny

* Venezuela has run out of grocery items – including soap.

and our poster boy for “people power” – Philippines is still under the tyranny of the oligarchy.

For short, after “people power” removed the incumbent, the economic policies, the institutions of enforcement of government plunder, the taxation, the minority which legislates plunder, protections aganst cronies, the engines of tyranny were not removed.

When the driver was removed from the car of tyranny, “people power” simply replaced the driver – and did not replace the car.

Today, there are more groups clamoring for the removal of Noynoy. As far as am concerned, he – and all the beneficiaries of the HCOS PCOS should not have been sworn into office in the first place.

That Noynoy and his merry men were able to get this far is a testimony to the insanity that pervades the Philippines.

The thing is if these social movements don’t watch it – it will become a case of “meet the new boss same like the old boss”.

Is there another alternative to “social revolution”? I’d say there is a thing such as personal revolution.

The social revolution is just the icing on the cake.

But prior to that there will have already been a series of lifestyle changes that help unplug us from the engines and lifestyles of tyranny – a personal revolution.

1. Stop watching oligarch owned media. They just reprogram your mind to become dumb and yielding to government propaganda. Instead rediscover the lost art of conversation within our homes. Be responsible for your own entertainment. Read a book. Have a physical fitness activity.

2. Start growing your own food. Yes, you might pay taxes for the purchase of the seeds. But after the seeds are grown – you will be eating tax-free food. And therefore not paying taxes to be plundered by your friendly neighborhood congressman, councilor, mayor, and barangay captain and kagawads.

3. Start generating your own electricity. Yes, there might be an initial capital expenditure. But the returns of greatly reduced power bills means you don’t have to pay up more money to the crony power firm – nor do you have to pay more utility taxes to the government.

4. Start relying on yourself for solutions. Resist the urge to have government solve your problem because that means someone will else will have to pay in order that government can solve your problem. When others also have a problem – expect that government will make you pay for a service you did not request. Yes it’s going to be tough to find solutions on your own – but that does not preclude you to work with others on a voluntary capacity to solve a problem.

5. Know yourself. You are more than a Filipino – whatever that ink blot definition means. Your goal is to find your personal happiness – not national happiness as defined by a government schmuck. You are responsible for your personal happiness – not government.

6. Stop Voting. You don’t need to vote to run your life. Voting actually gives away control of your life from you to another schmuck. Don’t fall into that trap. Reclaim your power. Deny legitimacy to a criminal plundering institution called “government”. Your vote seals your fate as a government tax slave.

What am saying is street “revolutions” are just the end game – the most important game however, is the one waged in your mind.
