Mano,

Given your own version of the world, you believe that you are right, and I have to agree to that. But given my version of the world we are worlds apart. You may not agree to that.

I leave you to your fears. But I cannot accept it as an excuse. Nor is it truly any dual's good excuse. Because there are many ways to effectively continue in your patriotic advocacies even if you are not personally present in the Philippines.

Patriotism is not your forte, Mano. It shows in your writings and actions. Nor is it mine in your view. But like I said where the battle is it is where the rightful place of the real patriots. The nearness to the battlefield reveals the degree of involvement and the height of patriotism.

To me there are no dual patriots. Dualism negates the very essence of patriotism, love of country. One cannot serve two countries, the USA and RP, two masters at the same time. You can only be a true patriot to one.

Your RA9225 should open your eyes to the truth of Patriotism where it says for a candidate or appointee for public office to drop his foreign allegiance. That provision says a lot of what Patriotism means. You better believe it.

You and I are schooled differently and our values clash that is why you are unable to return to the Philippines to pursue what you claimed was your act of love for your country. It shows a lot what you will do if ever you had the opportunity to be a "fighting patriot" in USA as you were once in RP. When the feared dictator Marcos was ousted why didn't you return to pursue your patriotic act? That fact of failing will always put your patriotism for any country under suspect.

I have the courage of my convictions. Palagay ko iyon na ngang sinabi na patriotic courage, or the courage of one's love for his country.

Cut the BS, mano. You and I know the truth about patriotism, love of and sacrifice for country, and what it takes to fight for one's country to be truly free. But knowing is never enough. One has to ACT, to demonstrate his patriotism and not only dakdak like most duals do.

Come home, mano, your unfinished patriotic task here awaits you.

When you decide to come back, I will welcome you with a red carpet and together we will fight the korakots of our land.

Have a nice day.

Ogie
