A BALDING British accountant was last night being hunted over the murder of a six-year-old girl he allegedly wanted to put in child porn films.

Ian Griffiths, 48, is on the run after being charged in his absence in the Philippines. Griffiths and his former bar-hostess girlfriend Bella Santos are also accused of operating an internet porn ring on the island of Cebu.

The murder of little Ellah Joy Pique has sparked furious demands for justice by locals.
The Philippines is a target for foreign paedophiles looking to exploit poor children and their families, with Cebu one of the country's worst areas for child prostitution, sex tourism and porn.
Ellah's grief-stricken dad Renante called for action to "lift the shadow which child abuse and human trafficking cast over the island".

Ellah was snatched from outside her school after being lured into a dark blue Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4. Her tiny body, wrapped in a white sheet and bound with wire, was later found at the foot of cliffs.
Police claim Griffiths, aided by Santos, 35, was behind the abduction and murder.
The Pajero was found at Santos's home and a bloodstain was discovered inside the car. Porn videos and sex toys were also found at the address, just five miles from the cliffs where Ellah was dumped.

Police chief Louie Oppus said: "It appears Ella Joy was abducted with the purpose of exploiting the victim for the suspects' cybersex business, but things went awry leading to her slaying and dumping of her body."
Griffiths and Santos reportedly flew to Hong Kong on the day Ellah's body was found, and at first a Norwegian couple were arrested and charged with the crime.
Griffiths and his girlfriend returned to Cebu, but he left again for Hong Kong on February 27 - the day before the charges against the other couple were dropped.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Griffiths. Santos has appeared in court, and denied any involvement in the murder and kidnap of the schoolgirl.
Lawyers insisted she and Griffiths were at home on February 8 when Ellah was snatched and killed.
Six people reportedly witnessed key moments in Ellah's murder. Two schoolmates aged nine and 12 said they were walking with her after classes when a dark vehicle stopped next to them.
The kids said a "big male foreigner" and a Filipina woman were inside. They said the woman asked where Ellah lived and offered a lift.
Their account was backed up by two drivers who heard a woman offer the child a lift.
Other witnesses reported seeing the same vehicle parked at night near the cliffs. They said they saw Griffiths open a rear door and remove a white object which he dropped over the cliff.

British accountant on child murder charges in the Philippines
by Adrian Shaw, Daily Mirror 2/04/2011

A BRITISH accountant and his girlfriend have been charged with killing a six-year-old girl after kidnapping her for child porn.
The 48-year-old, from South London, and his Filipina lover, 35, allegedly snatched Ellah Joy Pique outside a school in Cebu, a Philippine island.
Police claim they wanted her for porn videos but the plan "went awry, leading to the slaying and dumping of her body" over a cliff.
Warrants for both were filed by the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
