HONOR to the fightingest Maguindanao Massacre victims and DISHONOR to evil Padrino Quiambao and his ilk...!

Have seen the pictures of Genalyn "Gigi", wife of Buluan Vice Mayor Esmael "Toto" Mangudadatu! She has 7 kids, was not afraid to go to the capitol to register her husband's candidacy, even at great risk to herself and her companions! Her name and that of teacher Pinky, the 25 or so journalists and women lawyers in their group of about 40 (others that got killed were chance commuters also going to Sharif Aguak that got entangled into the convoy, somehow) indeed deserve HONOR & RESPECT for the HOPE they give the hopeless and for their belief in DEMOCRACY's beacon of light, despite the odds arrayed against them!

This man, Esmael "Toto" Mangudadatu, is courageous, wanting to "change" the political landscape, do more for the common people of Maguindanao as Governor, than as Vice Mayor of Buluan town!

The Ampatuan solution (heard of Hitler's "Final Solution" for the European Jews?) reminds me of Quiambao, Esguerra and Samuela, who would rather EXPEL Sir Jun and Moreno ("cut-off" is in a way, like premeditated murder, pre-planned and carried out to fruition!), than solve the lingering KOR problems like principled (hu)mans, which this trio seems NOT to be!

The other sad thing is that the trio's "Culture of Impunity" only could GROW because many are afraid to LOSE their trinket medals, sashes, ranks, positions, membership exemplified by inutile "yes sir" rubber stamp KGORs Plueckebaum, Guansing, Paras, Collantes, Alcoba, Nollas, even former "priest" Apolo de Guzman, Brussels and the "(i-)reverend" from Canada... it's worse enough that many Knights are quiet, but even worse when one gets appointed/exalted but CANNOT stand on his own backbone propagating Quiambao's evil legacy, but not the one from the Great Malayan, thru inaction a la Esguerra, the INCOMPETENT Supreme Commander, turning a blind eye away from evil, yet consenting or acquiescing to ILLEGAL expulsions, lawyers like Quiambao and Samuela leading the pack of law violators themselves twisting facts as they merrily go one step forward and 10 steps BACKWARD!

Further comments from "Philnews.com"

This is the reality in the Philippines, where "feudalistic" political warlords reign over their fiefdoms through intimidation with the complicit imprimatur from the national government that depends on these warlords to deliver the votes during elections.

And while the heads of these political clans pretend to show a modicum of restraint, it is their young sons who display unbridled arrogance with no respect for authority—as far as they're concerned, they are the ultimate authority throughout their 'fiefdom.' These brash young hoodlums, who would otherwise be seen as 'small fry' were it not for their parent's power and authority, are often able to commit unspeakable atrocities to the hapless civilians inside their domains. This is not the first time a son of a powerful politician has run amok—it happens more often then we think.

Almost 40 years ago, another brash young man, the son of then Ilocos Sur Governor Carmeling Pichay Crisologo burned the towns of Ora Este and Ora Centro for the simple reason that his mother lost in those two towns during the 1969 elections. Vincent "Bingbong" Crisologo was eventually tried, convicted and sentenced to two life terms. It was the public outcry that forced the reluctant Ferdinand Marcos into action as the Crisologos were close political allies.

The horrendous crime that happened last Monday could happen again in the future unless we band together and put a stop to it. One way to do this is to push for legislation that removes from office, politicians who aid and abet, or even just turn a blind eye to the criminal acts of their children. These are parents who through their own action (or inaction) instill in their children the distorted belief that they are above the law, simply because they belong to a rich and powerful family.

The rationale behind such landmark legislation is that, Andal Ampatuan Jr., the prime suspect in the Maguindanao massacre, or Vincent Crisologo decades earlier, would not have been able to carry out their heinous crimes if their parents were not in positions of power and authority.
