A SOLE SEARCHING QUESTION

What a joke and surely we find it amusing as we review the impact in two "shoe throwing" incidents where the media flooded with funny headlines! The media has exploited to the delight of hungry reading public. To wit: the shoes were directed and thrown to VIPs or dignitaries as an expression of anger or it can assumed to be orchestrated to embarrass a visiting foreign dignitary as in the case US President Bush in Iraq and China Minister Wen had experience in England.

We were told Bush deflected or ducked at the shoe thrown to him while Wen just stood still watching the "IFO" (identified foreign object) for the shoes direct to him were so high there is no need fending off.

A follow up reports in the Bush incident show that a ‘zapatero’-shoe storeowner in Baghdad claimed to have personally sold the disgruntled Arab journalist that famous pair of shoes! Still another claimant-shoemaker from one Middle East country also laid his claim as he claimed to be importer and distributor of that pair of shoes in Iraq.

While the Chinese were full of laughs, they did not expect that the reason for their laughs boomeranged as their government leader while visiting England received a shoe-throwing ceremony and of course they stopped laughing. Did not see it not funny nor amusing.

What separates the Chinese from the Arab anti-Bush-bashers is one “SOLE”-searching confession and discovery for them to accept. You see, by reading from the sole of the shoes thrown to Comrade Wen says in bold letters, MADE IN CHINA.
