Panahon na! Tama Na! Sobra Na! Let's move for F E D E R A L I Z A T I O N...!!!

To I H Q,
To the K.R. Secretariat,
To all concerned Ladies and Brothers in Dr Jose Rizal,

All the BLAME squarely lies upon the shoulders of the IHQ for ALL the problems besetting the KOR right now!

Let us not blame the honorable person of Mr Villadelrey!!! With due respect upon his name, it signifies "House of the King"! And a King's job it is to put "order" in his house! What is wrong with an illustrious Knight's simple WISH to put order in the house he belongs to? Nothing! He merely wants IHQ to "correct the wrong" and honor the name of the national hero! Carry on Mr Villadelrey! You are the "Man of the hour!" KOR needs more of you!!!

If Mr Villadelrey is wrong, why is it that Quiambao is most of the time around during gatherings, conventions, in the Philippines or out? And if Quiambao has no say, how come Paras is still in the European KOR??? Formal charges were forwarded to the IHQ, duly signed by complainant/s, notarized by a lawyer, backed-up with required documentation! Yet, Paras is still there!

And instead of promoting illustrious and honorable men like Sir Dr Fritz Hack-Ullmer (improvement and beautification of Rizal Park, Wilhelmsfeld) and Sir Manfred Holtzmann (for facilitating the donation of the lot for the Wilhelmsfeld Rizal Park), IHQ promoted the kinds of Alcoba and Nollas! (I have nothing against well-deserved promotions! I am for transparency and wish to know what those who got promoted in Paris weeks ago did for the cause of Rizalism! If it is for toeing the Paras line, it's WRONG! If it is for calling other Knights bad names, it's WRONG!)

Had IHQ acted correctly, justly, fairly, timely on all submitted COMPLAINTS, written/FAXed/e-mailed/sent to them in Manila, there would have been no such fellow as Mr Villadelrey writing! ...and I would have been quiet too!

I wrote many times about the TRUTH! that Paras does NOT deserve to be a Knight of Rizal, nor a member of any affiliated organization carrying the name of the national hero! I do not recognize him at all. Paras is an insult to the KOR!

- he was not nominated per the existing Constitution & By-Laws ratified (railroaded is more appropriate!) under Lina, - he plagiarized a book and titled it "Born to be a Hero"
- plus Andres Bonifacio's "Huling Paalam" which Paras claimed he translated into Pilipino/Tagalog,
- he denounced a Philippine Embassy official and a "Kababayan" before the Belgian DFA!
- Paras pronounced racistic overtones that insulted many noble European Knights, notably the illustrious person of Sir Dr Friz Hack-Ullmer, whose great grandfather, Pastor Karl Ullmer, took Dr Rizal into his home, in effect, SAVING the Noli Me Tangere! How can Paras claim that Europeans discriminate against Filipinos? I am Filipino. I don't feel being discriminated by Europeans! (In the warmth of the Ullmer home, Dr Rizal finished/completed his first novel, even mellowing his words as can be observed from the various corrections he made on the manuscript!)

In all likelihood, Paras got the top post in Europe through manipulations and maneuverings, where even Sir Hilario Davide Jr was, in all probability, "kept in the dark" so the Paras appointment could be signed and sent to Europe!

It is clear also, despite submission by Europe of the required documentation proving Paras as a fake author/translator (of Born to be a Hero and "Huling Paalam"), IHQ did nothing!

Enclosed herewith are the following:

- Letter of Paras, signed by him, confirmed received by the Belgian DFA, where Paras indicated "President Philippine Community" although he NEVER was President of any Phil. association in Belgium. (He was head of the Sports Committee which, per Ms Adela Lulu, Paras never relinquished, although a new head was picked replacing Paras!)

- Letter of Ms Adela Lulu, President of the Council Of Filipino Associations in Belgium. She described Paras as one who "refuses to adhere to democratic processes" and "even goes as far as 'inventing stories' to destroy his opponents".

- Letter of Ms Elsa Ramos, SAMAHAN ng mga Manggagawang Pilipino Sa Belgium, "appalled" at Paras' inappropriate action!

I am not hiding and never will. I move for Federalization...!!!

Paras Out! Quiambao Resign! and Esguerra too!

For country and people! ...for the poor cannot wait!

DON BRENNOCK FRATERNAL ADDRESS

Fraternal address to the Bonn Chapter,
on its 30th. Anniversary Celebrations.

This is a day of celebration mainly, but of course, there have to be some speeches; despite our protests, most of us do like to hear the sound of our own voices ! However, I will follow the advice given to me many years ago by my Father: When you must speak, stand up, speak up . . . . and then ‘shut up’.

Sir Peter, Chapter Members, Ladies of the Kababaihang Rizalista, honoured Guests, fellow Rizalists, please accept my sincere personal apologies and those of the Dublin Chapter that we are unable to be with you to-day, to celebrate and honour your achievement of 30 years of the Knights of Rizal in Bonn. Our Most Sincere Congratulations to you all and may your celebrations be successful, enjoyable and the beginnings of many more years of success and development for the Order of the Knights of Rizal in Bonn.

It is a very fine achievement indeed to have reached such a milestone, and great credit is due to the leadership of your Chapter Commander, Sir Peter Plückebaum, his Deputy Sir Celso Lacuña, the Members and Ladies of your Chapter and all those others as well, who, in previous years, strove to propagate and honour the Ideals and Teachings of Dr. Rizal, and to uphold the good name of the Order founded in his memory.

We live in a very different World now, unfortunately, where such fine and honourable ideals and models of behaviour, as espoused by The Order of the Knights of Rizal in the name of Dr, Rizal, are far less respected and acted on. A World where personal aggrandisement and self-serving actions seem to have taken over, and true service to others and for the greater good of the community seems to have been set aside, to a very large degree.

A celebratory occasion such as this, however, is not the time to attempt to engage with all the difficulties that beset our beloved Order at this moment, at International Headquarters level, Regionally and at Chapter level. Equally, it would be burying our heads in the sand to ignore the fact that we do have problems and that it is up to us, individually and as Chapters, to engage with these problems to resolve them. If we do not, we will be responsible for the destruction of the Organisation we claim to respect and honour. We must not be hypocrites and allow this to happen. We must have the courage, the conviction and the generosity of heart to examine ourselves, our actions or lack of, and our behaviour, AND be brave enough to allow others to examine us in the same areas also. If we have nothing to hide or be ashamed of why should we be afraid of such an examination.

I cannot but ask that each one of us reflects seriously on our personal reasons and motivation for being, and continuing to be, a Member of this Illustrious Order and consider honestly whether we actually contribute to the ideals of ‘A Civic, Patriotic, Cultural, Non-Sectarian and Non-Partisan Organisation’ ; and, do we actively believe in, follow and act on the ‘Purposes and Objectives’ of our Order, as outlined in Section ĪĪ of our Bye Laws ? Do we actually know what these are ?

Thank You for listening.

Non Omnis Moriar.

Sir Don Brennock KCR,

A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO SIR PETER EISELE

Eulogy

For his fearless stand against who he perceived as the tyrants of the day, Sir Peter Eisele faced the figurative firing squad of Sir Virgilio Esguerra and Sir Rogelio Quiambao. In the most ironic way Acting Supreme Commander Esguerra (who's been said to be a puppet of Quiambao) gave the ultimate tribute to the valiance of a crusading Knight of Rizal by "accepting" and doing so arrogantly the resignation of Sir Peter from Manila-based 96-year old Order of the Knights of Rizal.

To Sir Peter's credit Esguerra's acceptance demonstrated his naivette by not understanding that the resignation of Sir Peter and those of many other illustrious Knights were a simple announcement of their personal and unilateral decision to leave the organization and not from a position or an office. The decision to single out Sir Peter was in essence an admission that they were (and still are) incapable of dealing with the issues squarely and that the best way out for them was to let Sir Peter go! Funnily, any fifth grader would understand that Sir Peter's resignation is the type that needs no approval from anybody. Esguerra and company are obviously of the illusion that since they did not accept any other resignation apart from Sir Peter's those members are still with the Order and that they (Esguerra/Quaimbao) continue to wield power which for all intents and purposes is only imaginary!

It is the very same illusion that the fraternity is over 10,000 members strong worldwide. Such boast by Esguerra hides the fact that a measly 115 members or only 0.0115 percent attended the International Assembly held in Manila last March, 2007, an embarrassingly clear indication that most are members in name only or most simply do not care anymore. Sir Peter longed but sadly will never see the revival of the once noble brotherhood carrying the name of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

His Pronouncements

Through the pages of the Knights of Rizal News and through various emails sent to just about every member Knight, Sir Peter expressed candidly and without equivocation his concerns, criticisms and suggestions intended to bring to light the problems as he saw them and to encourage the righting of wrongs through rational means.

His Cause

Realizing that he was not alone in his quest for reforms in the organization which process of self-destruction started as recently as 2002, Sir Peter quickly joined the Knights of Rizal Reform Movement (KRRM) that was borne out of the Scarborough Manifesto published by the Scarborough Chapter in Canada in 2005. As a result of his reinforced energy he upped the ire of Manila and to them he was public enemy number one. His burning issue - and one that conflagrated in Europe was the alleged highly explosive racist activities of Sir Lino Paras against the non-Filipinos. The latter's own controversial appointment as Regional Commander only complicated the matter. The last part of a three-part administrative debacle was Paras' case of multi-plagiarism. To this day they all remain unresolved.

Sir Peter - and for that matter any decent, civilized, educated and cultured "Knight" - would not tolerate such a situation and a demand for investigation was only natural. Alas, Manila's reaction was not only pathetically inadequate but grossly tolerant of such anomalies by crowning Paras as if he were an untouchable royalty. No wonder Sir Peter was Quiambao's torn in the flesh.

During his time Rizal traveled to Europe to labor and lobby for reforms in the Philippines' colonial government. That was his most important legacy. He modeled a non-violent reform movement for positive and progressive change. It is indeed tragic that today the Knights of Rizal who are supposed to preach the teachings of their hero are fighting for reforms within the Order itself and that the movement is spearheaded by members in foreign countries in a contest against the powers-that-be in Manila!

Observing that despite the efforts of the KRRM Manila would never budge to reason, Sir Peter decided he did not want to waste any more time in what to him was a hopeless situation. That decision proved to be ominous. He probably thought that in view of his failing health he did not have the luxury to wait for a reformation or a revolution ala people power to occur. So, together with other highly respected and respectable true Knights of Rizal in Europe he founded the La Liga Solidaridad International - The Rizalists

His Deeds

Sir Peter - a Friend of the people. He puts to shame many members whose joy and delight in his observation is to display meaningless medals and useless titles by practicing what he preached. Reminiscent of Rizal's La Liga Filipina which objective it was to help the economically insufficient and socially disadvantaged, the Valiant Knight reached out philantropically to countless poor children in Davao, Philippines through his organization "Kaibigan". He talked the talk and he walked the walk.

His Victory

Perhaps silently knowing that he did not have the luxury of time to wait for the desired reform measures to be enacted and put into effect, Sir Peter did what one under the circumstances would do if only to see an immediate application of the principles that he wished were present in the Order in the first place. Having determined therefore that the Order under the present leadership has failed in its mandate, Sir Peter took upon himself, in association with other illustrious Knights in Europe, to launch what he believed would be the more appropriate vessel to carry out his Rizalian aspirations. Before he died, La LigaSolidaridad - the Rizalists, was born!

FAKE DIPLOMAS AND DOCUMENTS FOR SALE

Lim orders crackdown on Manila's diploma manufacturers
By Tina Santos
Inquirer
Last updated 01:32am (Mla time) 08/04/2007

MANILA, Philippines - Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim ordered yesterday a crackdown on shops along Recto Avenue found manufacturing fake documents.

Lim also directed Rafaelito Garayblas, secretary to the mayor, to check on those who secured permits from City Hall to operate such establishments by using legitimate businesses.

I asked him to cancel immediately the permits of these establishments, he said.

"Yesterday, at least 10 people allegedly involved in the manufacture of fake diplomas and other public documents were arrested by operatives of the Manila Police District."

Lim ordered Senior Supt. Danilo Abarzosa, MPD acting director, to conduct a continuous monitoring of the area to ensure that those engaged in faking public documents did not return.

The fake diploma industry continues to thrive despite government efforts to eliminate it.

For a fee, people can get a fake marriage contract, class card, faculty identification card, transcript of records, registration form, employers' certificates and even bank statements and voters' IDs, among others.

Recently, the National Printing Office (NPO) and the Commission on Higher Education signed a memorandum of agreement for the printing of a highly securitized paper for college diplomas. The NPO, the agency that prints government forms, said the same security features applied in the printing of ballots, election returns and certificates of canvass would be incorporated in the manufacture of diplomas.

Lim encouraged people to identify policemen protecting the Recto entrepreneurs.

"We hope to erase the image of Manila as the country's 'fake diploma capital,' a reputation it has earned these past several years," he said.

IN DEFENSE OF OUR MOTHERLAND

I wrote President Bush and the Management of ABC and vehemently complained about the vitriolic, callous and racially divisive remarks on US national TV by Terri Hatcher (actress in Desperate Housewives show) against Filipino medical professionals. I may be a speck in the sky and a drop of water in the ocean, but collectively we can let the public hear about our outrage. If we let this issue die a natural death, then the next insults will be against Filipino engineers, lawyers, politicians, and other nationalities, etc......

The offending remark is as follows: "Can I just check those diplomas because I just want to make sure that they are not from some med school in the Philippines." If you go to abc.com, select "Desperate Housewives", you can watch the full episode and witness the scene at about 18:50 minutes into the episode.

Racism still exists in America no matter how many laws are passed to curb this behavior. Twenty-five years ago, I was asked during my military training, "How come you can speak English?" A few years ago, a co-worker asked me, "Do they teach English in the Philippines and can you pass the CA bar examinations if the questions are in English?" And I scored 99% on part 2 of that examination. It is our duty to defend our rights and national honor. How come this is a headline when the victims are African-Americans and/or American-Jews?

My parents didn't rear me to be ridiculed by anybody!!! The Filipino people are some of the smartest people I have ever known. Some of my relatives are Summa Cum Laudes and Magna Cum Laudes and yet they never broadcast that to the public. My parents and a few of my brothers and sisters are US scholars and graduated from the University of the Philippines which is noted for weeding out even scholars who are good enough to be Valedictorians in the United States? Can most Americans pass the trechearous Philippine and California Bar Examinations for lawyers? I can go and on and describe instances of the inner beauty and intelligence of the Filipino people, however time constraints won't allow me to do so. To Miss Terri Hatcher, as it is said, "An open mouth catches more flies."

President Bush Chief Chef is a Filipino; President Clinton's former head doctor is a Filipino; the Lunar Rover was designed by a Filipino; the first Asian Chess Grandmaster (Eugene Torre) is a Filipino; Philippines placed 3rd in 1950 World Basketball Olympiad; Philippines was ranked 3rd in highest literary rate these past several years; Philippines was a showcase to our Asian neighbors in the early 50's until late 70s; etc...... Times may have changed and corrupt politicians back home may have wrecked havoc upon our political and economic systems, but that hasn't diminished our national pride as Filipinos..... We are proud of our heritage!!!

In summation, God made all men equal, but were not born equal.
